Cookie Policy
Last updated: October 2026
This policy explains the cookies and similar browser storage (localStorage, IndexedDB) that AutoGrow uses, and how you control them. We keep this to the minimum the app needs to function, plus one strictly-optional measurement tool you switch on yourself.
Strictly Necessary (always on)
These are required for the app to work and cannot be switched off. They include your Firebase sign-in session (so you stay logged in), single-session and security safeguards, and your saved settings — theme (dark/light), language, this cookie choice, and an optional remembered email. No consent is required for these, and none of them are used for advertising.
While you fill in the intro questionnaire, your answers — never your health answers — are kept on this device, so a refresh does not lose them, until they are saved to your account, you sign out, or 30 days pass without a change.
Analytics (optional — off by default)
If, and only if, you tap “Accept” or enable Analytics in preferences, we load Google Firebase Analytics to measure anonymous, aggregated usage (which screens are opened and which options are chosen on them, and a broad device type) so we can improve the app. Nothing analytics-related is loaded until you opt in, and you can withdraw at any time from the preferences dialog — which immediately disables it.
What we do NOT use
We set no advertising cookies, no cross-site tracking, and no third-party marketing pixels. We do not sell or share your data for advertising.
Managing your choice
Use the “Manage” button on the cookie banner to open preferences and toggle Analytics, then “Save preferences.” You can also clear cookies and site data from your browser settings at any time; doing so resets your choice and the banner will ask again on your next visit. See our Privacy Policy for how personal data is handled more broadly.
The Android and iOS apps load no analytics and show no cookie choice. On the web, the cookie banner and Profile → Privacy manage it.
